Gallery Freenote InWorldz Expands

I have been so creative since coming to InWorldz grid, that I now need to expand my Gallery Freenote. I have added an additional Sky Level to the gallery. My newest sculptures are there now. Take the tp pad at the front entrance of the ground level gallery to get to it.

Teal Freenote in VHAC exhibit: Pop Art

I am one of ten artists invited to participate in the next show at Vista Hermosa Art Center in Second Life. The theme is interpretation of Pop Art. The show opens Satureday 10/22/2011.

My section of the exhibit includes "i-Jasper", "i-Andy", "Orange Tele Phone", and "Flash Drive ala Claus" #1 and #2.

I have been invited to show at the Santa Barbara Isalnd Museum of Art & Performances (InWorldz). Now showing on the balcony of the main hall are 3 of my sculptures plus a dozen 2D photographs of various subjects in virtual life, primarily landscapes but some fantasy and symbolic figures.

I have always been entranced by that old illustration, variously titled Flummarion or Universum - supposedly of a man who reported finding the juncture between earth and the heavens, and having peeked through. Originally about astronomy, it also evokes spiritual feelings - breaking through the mundane to the spiritual level.

The Art of Being Tiny

I am one of seven artists in the current show in the SS Galaxy cruise ship's Nova Straaf Gallery. Raglan Shire is the "port of call" for the month of September in Second Life. The Raglan Shire Tree Gallery is hosting "The Art of Being Tiny" - artwork by tiny Raglan artists, featuring tinies and tiny life.

I took a few of the picturesI shot at Tsuki Mura, Edo Japan, InWorldz grid, and treated them a bit like woodblock prints. Less subtle than the real thing, but interesting. I will bring some of these photos to Gallery Freenote soon.

Gallery Party InWorldz Sunday August 21, 2011

Finally I have a building I like here in InWorldz, so I'm throwing a party on Sunday, August 21st, from 1-3 pm IWT. DJ justbecause will get us going at 1 pm, followed by my friend and excellent live musician Ganjo Mokeev at 2 pm.  Come help celebrate the new Gallery Freenote InWorldz.
