My Newest Sculpture

"Broken" by Teal Freenote - viewed from above

I finished my newest sculpture yesterday. Its a sad piece, yes, but quite sucessful I think in terms of expressing what I wanted it to. It is titled "Broken" and will be shown soon at TiaTopia Fine Art Gallery. The texture of the figure and the small detail like the ring do not show well in a photograph. Best to see it in person :)

"More Than Two" Shown In Chakryn

Bettina Tizzy of NPIRL purchased my sculpture "More Than Two". It is now on display in her beautiful Chakryn Forest. I couldn't ask for a lovelier place as a setting for it.

Teal Freenote on The 1st Question

On Tuesday evening, May 19th, Teal Freenote appeared as a guest panelist on the SLCN.TV show "The 1st Question". She was the artist representative on a panel of creative avatars including musicians Cypress Rosewood and Jana Kyomoon, and comedian Jwheels Carver. The audience was packed with many tinies from the Raglan Shire who came by to cheer on fellow tiny, Teal Freenote.

Initially, Jwheels was declared the winner. But after some consideration following the show, and a protest from the tiny members in the audience over the malfunction of the voting board in one segment of the quiz, Teal was also declared winner and given a trip to the prize vault. I selected two wonderful works of art which I will greatly enjoy.
Teal says: "I had loads of fun and got to promote the Raglan ArtWalk going on now through the end of May. But best of all, I had the incredible support of my tiny friends and family. I felt very loved, and that is the best you can ask for in any L. "

Royal Visiwi Art Expo

I have 3 pieces in the Royal Visiwi Art Expo which opens May 23rd and runs through June 7th. It is in the Visiwi sim cluster, a very lovely build.

Welcome to Gallery Freenote!

Welcome to the blog for Gallery Freenote - the art gallery in Second Life for Teal Freenote.

Gallery Freenote at 96 Bourbon Street in the French Quarter Sim features the SL photography and sculpture of my SL avatar Teal Freenote, along with representations of my RL digital fine art work. Some of my SL photography focuses on SL through the unique viewpoint of a tiny avatar. My SL sculpture derives from dream and symbolic imagery around emotional and spiritual feelings. My RL artwork is a synthesis of digital drawing and painting, photography and scanned items, often with an environmental theme.

I will publish pictures of my artwork on this blog and announce new works and events connected with the gallery and other shows that I participate in.

I look forward to sharing my work with you :)
